Cybersecurity is defined by Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8500.01E as “measures that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.” Cybersecurity is the practice of assuring information and managing risks related to the collection, processing, storage, dissemination and use of that data.
Cybersecurity also includes protection measures related to accessing system data. These protections apply to data in transit, both physical and electronic forms, as well as data at rest in various types of physical and electronic storage facilities. Braxton strives to ensure that information is accessible to the joint forces, while protecting the network – and the information on it – from being accessed by our adversaries. Braxton processes assure that cybersecurity is incorporated into all of our products and systems from design through development, integration, deployment, and operations.
